**Technical Representative (m/f/d) – Altra Running (Southern Germany & Austria)** **Live the Brand - ALTRA RUNNING** Founded in 2009, Altra Running is headquartered in Denver, Colorado. It all started when Golden Harper started cutting up and reconfiguring existing running shoes in hopes of designing something better. Along with co-founders, Brian Beckstead, Jeremy Howlett and Quirl Jacob Hansen, he came up with the idea for a “Zero Drop" shoe, meaning that the goal was to create shoes that lacked a height differential between the heel and toe area. When you consider that many of today's athletic shoes pad the heel so much that they resemble high heels, this was a revolutionary idea! When no companies expressed interest in the design, the foursome partnered with Pulse Labs (an engineering firm at Brigham Young University), contracted manufacturers in Asia and launched Altra Footwear on their own. The name “Altra" is derived from the Latin word “altera," which means “to fix or mend something that is broken." **Let's Talk About The Role** As a Technical Representative for Altra Running, you will be the face of the brand across Southern Germany & Austria. This role combines product expertise, retail training, event support, and community engagement to strengthen Altra’s presence in the region. You’ll work closely with retail partners, sales teams, and local running communities to drive brand awareness and sales performance. **What You Will Do** + Deliver engaging product training sessions to retail staff, both in-store and outdoors. + Act as the regional product expert and key contact between Altra, sales reps, and retail accounts, sharing valuable field insights. + Build strong relationships with retail partners to motivate and support store teams. + Ensure high-quality in-store brand presentation through effective merchandising and POS execution. + Represent Altra at trade shows, store openings, and consumer-facing events. + Lead community engagement efforts and support local brand ambassadors. + Provide regular reports, manage budgets, and maintain company equipment and vehicles. **Skills For Success** + Experience in retail, field support, or technical representation - ideally in the running or outdoor industry. + Strong passion for running and deep knowledge of running footwear. + Excellent communication and presentation skills. + Self-motivated, well-organized, and comfortable working independently. + Strong relationship-building skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude. + High Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license (company car provided) + Native speaker or fluent in German; English language skills are a plus. **What's in it for you?** Most companies like to say they offer a competitive salary, an amazing bonus/benefit and pension scheme as well as staff discounts (btw we offer 50%! on our VF Brands).
