The Division of Public Works (DPW), within the Department of Administration, is recruiting for a Technical Records Specialist 1. We are seeking a personable and professional individual with strong customer service skills, attention to detail and the desire to work in a team environment. Our office is located in beautiful downtown Boise. We serve Idaho by promoting responsible government through expert customer support Example of Duties: + Sets up project files, records bid openings, processes payments and updates division website; + Provides construction project coordination between internal and external customers; + Assists external customers with project information and guidance + Coordinates requests from agencies, + Maintains historical files of projects as required by statute; + Assists leadership team with various special projects and requests. + Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: + Monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors; + Researching a variety of sources to resolve problems; + Interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments; + Entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system. Desirable Qualifications (not required but may increase your overall score). + Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel; + Knowledge and understanding of construction field terminology.
