Technical Project Specialist

Labcorp is seeking a Technical Project Specialist to join our Lab Operations team at in Itasca, IL.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm

Job Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned technical projects, monitoring project performance, and acting as the escalation point for project issues with internal and external stakeholdersManage and communicate project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and status throughout the full project lifecycleMaintain a structured system for tracking all active projects, deliverables, action items, and current project status using approved tracking tools or softwareLead and participate in client and internal project meetings; document and distribute meeting minutes, action items, and follow-up items, ensuring responsiveness to client inquiries with an expectation of responses within 24 hoursDefine and manage client-facing data deliverables, including establishing data formats and reporting requirements during study setupSupport and fulfill client data requests during and after study execution, with assistance from customer service team as neededDevelop, maintain, and follow SOPs to support consistent execution of project workflows, communications, data handling, and study operationsSupport project-related billing workflows and documentation, and coordination with commercial and finance teamsParticipate in evaluation and documentation of billing, EOR, FDA, CLIA, CAP, ICH GCP, FDA-GLP and other regulatory or compliance considerations relevant to study execution.Work directly in the laboratory as needed to support research studies, including running samples and training staff on instruments and protocols

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology3 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience

Preferred Qualifications

ASCP or AMT certification

In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirementsExperience in managing projects in a virtual environment and ability to demonstrate sustained progress on multiple projects without direct supervisionDemonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and to utilize resources effectivelyUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresExperience working in a high-volume laboratory environmentAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systemsHigh level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

**Pay Range: $65,000 - $95,000

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. (Remove for non-pay transparency states)

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
