We are dedicated to delivering high-quality heat not burn devices to our Consumers. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Technical Project Manager (12months contract) focused on a new device launch. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, Q&A and release process for our electronic devices and will work closely with our internal development teams collaborating with other PMI internal departments and external partners such as firmware, apps, and EMSs. This role requires a seasoned professional with over 5 years of experience in management, preferably within a large FMCG electronics company. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with large cross-functional teams located across multiple geographies (primarily Asia and Europe).
The position can be based in Hong Kong or Shenzhen.
Your day-to-day:
Your day-to-day activities will be focused on managing the development teams working on end-to-end device connectivity (IoT), business requirements validation and management, standard project management activities, and coordination across other development teams. This role is pivotal for us to keep pace with the demands of technology changes and to excite and delight our Consumers on a regular basis. You will have autonomy within established processes and structure to deliver as efficiently and effectively as possible to increase our ability to deliver to our Consumers. Key aspects of the role include:
Manage the end-to-end requirements delivery (from design to production), ensuring timely and high-quality releases.Technical project management experience and ability to have detailed discussions with technical developers and architects to bring clarity. Ability to then translate this information back to the business (plain language) to share the progress, limitations, challenges, etc. to have the business then make the decisions needed on the requirements to avoid blocking the development of key activities.Gathering of business requirements, validating requirements and value of it with business and other technology teams, supporting development teams in understanding the requirements and addressing clarification needed throughout project, removing impediment and inefficiencies, and ensuring the requirements are developed, tested and deployed according to the business requirements.Coordinating with the EMS on the delivery of the firmware and end-to-end bug fixes and deployments to production.Support the development and maintenance of the project timeline alongside the business objectives.Provide weekly status updates across the team and consolidate the status across development teams.Manage the risks and issues log and escalations across development teams.Working closely with the teams involved to develop and release to pre-production and production, conduct testing, etc. to help ensure there are no issues when the release goes live.Coordinate and collaborate with teams involved and business stakeholders to ensure on time, on scope, on budget and on quality delivery.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance and to coordinate firmware releases. Provides updates to the business to inform the markets of the release and any potential impact.Ensure compliance with industry standards following information security and regulatory requirements.Continuously improve the release process, identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality enhancements.Collaborate with Architects, Program/Project Managers and/or Product Owners to deliver solutions that address the identified needs.
Who we are looking for:
