Technical Project Manager - Data Engineering Initiatives - 100% Remote - PST Hours

Seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead a large-scale data platform initiative involving the design and migration of an open-format data lake and unified audience store. The role requires strong technical fluency, stakeholder management, and hands-on project leadership across data engineering and cloud technologies.

Must-Have Qualifications:

5+ years of technical project/program management experience within data engineering or cloud platform environments.Strong understanding of data lake architecture, pipelines, and migrations.Familiarity with Databricks, PySpark, Snowflake (S3/GCP), and BigQuery.Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional engineering teams and ensure platform interoperability.Experience managing data migration projects and delivering scalable, resilient solutions.Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work within structured processes, frameworks, and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive the delivery of a new open-format data lake and audience store initiative.Oversee migration of foundational datasets and pipelines to modern cloud platforms.Partner with architects and engineers to define timelines, deliverables, and success criteria.Ensure alignment across teams working in Databricks, Snowflake, and BigQuery.Manage risks, escalate blockers, and maintain velocity toward business impact.Provide clear documentation and knowledge sharing for smooth transition and adoption.

Success Criteria:

Data lake and audience store are delivered on time, optimized, and fully integrated.Migration of key datasets and pipelines completed with minimal disruption.Stakeholders receive consistent updates and clear visibility into progress.Seamless collaboration across engineering and business teams.
