The role:
The client is seeking a hands-on Project Leader to take charge of utility and facility-related technical projects during a temporary handover period. You will be stepping in for the current Technical Project Lead, who will be unavailable for several months starting end of the year. You’ll receive a full project handover and will independently lead the replacement of steam and central heating installations, ensuring safety, compliance, and coordination with external contractors.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of multiple ongoing technical facility projects
Lead the replacement of steam installations and central heating systems
Ensure safe, compliant execution and delivery within budget and timeline
Act as primary point of contact for external contractors on site
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to minimize production disruption
Maintain alignment with GMP, GDP, HACCP, and NEN3140 standards
Qualifications:
MBO-4 or HBO-level technical education
3+ years of experience leading technical projects in the pharmaceutical or food industry
Proven experience with utility systems (steam, HVAC, heating)
Knowledge of relevant regulations: GMP, GDP, HACCP, NEN3140
Fluent in Dutch and English
Comfortable working independently and reporting directly to operations management
The client:
This client is a pharmaceutical production company specializing in OTC medicines and supplements. Their facility operates under strict GMP guidelines and requires continuous upgrades to critical building and utility infrastructure. The Project Leader will report directly to the Manager Operations and collaborate with a Technical Service department of 8 colleagues focused on packaging lines and general maintenance.
