Technical Program Manager
Job Description Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized Technical Program Manager to fill a critical gap on our operations side, bridging social marketing strategy for Social Platforms with technical data infrastructure initiatives. Reporting into Data Science/Engineering leadership you will own the coordination and execution of multiple cross-functional projects within our social, influencer, and emerging product-area marketing ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of the marketing world (social media, influencer programs, paid/organic channels) and the technical world (data infrastructure, pipelines, tools built by data engineering/science teams). You don't need to code or build data systems yourself—but you must understand how these pieces come together to enable marketing outcomes, validate investments, and keep complex initiatives on track. Our current focus includes supporting full-org and cross-team initiatives kicked off this year, including expanding social/influencer efforts into product-specific areas. You'll work with internal teams, agency partners, and data stakeholders to drive processes, documentation, communications, and milestone delivery—ensuring everything stays buttoned-up without direct budget ownership. This is a high-impact operations role where strong project management fundamentals, marketing intuition, and the ability to "put things together" across technical and creative teams are key. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end program coordination for multiple concurrent projects in social/influencer marketing, data enablement, and AI-powered initiatives—managing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables within the defined leadership scope (no direct budget management). Develop and maintain clear processes, documentation, and operational cadences to keep cross-functional teams aligned and on track. Create and execute communications plans (e.g., milestone updates, status reports, stakeholder alignment) across teams and full-org initiatives—ensuring transparency and momentum. Collaborate closely with data infrastructure leads (e.g., on new tools, pipelines, and data products) and AI stakeholders to understand technical/AI roadmaps, translate marketing needs into operational plans, and validate that investments (including AI tooling and agent capabilities) deliver measurable marketing value. Demonstrate a solid understanding of AI agent development fundamentals (e.g., autonomous/agentic systems for tasks like content optimization, social listening automation, or workflow orchestration) and stay current on industry AI tools and tooling (e.g., platforms like Vertex AI, OpenAI APIs, agent frameworks, generative AI for marketing content, or emerging agentic solutions) to guide responsible integration into marketing programs. Evaluate and recommend AI tooling adoption to accelerate social/influencer workflows—such as AI agents for influencer matching, content generation, performance insights, or cross-team coordination—while ensuring alignment with ethical/responsible AI practices and business goals. Partner with external agency teams to keep them accountable on timelines, deliverables, and quality—acting as the central point of contact to integrate their support seamlessly, including any AI-enhanced contributions. Support expansion into new areas (e.g., product-specific marketing like PA), coordinating updates and insights for key audiences (including direct reports to leadership like Lorraine). Monitor progress against milestones, surface issues early, facilitate resolution across marketing, data, AI, and agency stakeholders, and ensure initiatives stay aligned with strategic goals. Help validate and communicate the ROI/investment case for these programs (including AI-driven components) through clear reporting and stakeholder alignment. Skills and Requirements Mid-to-senior level experience as a Program Manager, Project Manager, Marketing Operations Manager, or similar role with proven ability to manage multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives. Strong marketing domain knowledge, ideally in social media, influencer marketing, organic/paid channels, or related consumer-facing areas—understanding how campaigns, metrics, and audience insights come together. Solid grasp of technical/data concepts (e.g., data infrastructure, pipelines, analytics tools, data science workflows)—enough to collaborate effectively with engineering/data teams, ask the right questions, and bridge gaps between marketing needs and technical delivery (prior exposure to data engineering/science environments is highly valued). Buttoned-up project/program management fundamentals—expertise in processes, documentation, timelines, risk management, stakeholder communication, and tools like Google workspace and Jira (formal PMP or equivalent is a plus but not required). Experience working with agency partners or external vendors—keeping them on task, integrating their work, and driving accountability to meet agreed upon milestones. Excellent communication and organizational skills—ability to create clear comms plans, milestone updates, and documentation that keep diverse stakeholders (marketing, data, leadership, agencies) informed and aligned. Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment supporting cross-team and org-wide initiatives.
