To learn more about Movius, visit www.movius.ai As a Technical Program Manager at Movius, you'll be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge, secure, and highly available voice and messaging communication solutions that strictly adhere to global regulatory requirements, across a geographically dispersed team spanning Pacific Coast (PST), East Coast (EST), and Bengaluru (IST). You'll lead complex engineering programs for voice, and messaging platforms, ensuring they meet the highest standards for data privacy, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, FINRA, ESMA, HIPAA). This role demands a deep understanding of communication technologies, a meticulous approach to regulatory compliance, and the ability to navigate intricate technical, legal, and inter-regional collaboration landscapes. You'll partner closely with engineering, product, and security teams as well as global technology partners to build and scale compliant communication products that earn and maintain customer trust worldwide. Responsibilities Execution & Delivery Management: Lead end-to-end program planning and execution for voice, SMS/MMS solutions, and integrations with Enterprise UCaaS/CRM and Social Messaging platforms, ensuring on-time delivery by owning program schedules, resources, and budgets within a matrixed, globally distributed organization. Create and maintain comprehensive end-to-end program schedules with clearly defined milestones, including those related to technology partner integrations. Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-launch phases, with a strong emphasis on built-in compliance and security-by-design, adapted for global deployments. proactively identify technical, and operational risks, develop comprehensive mitigation strategies, and ensure all initiatives are aligned with evolving requirements. Oversee the product documentation schedule, ensuring quality, timely creation, and updates of necessary documentation. Track and report on the completion and quality of requirements reviews, design reviews and code reviews, ensuring adherence to engineering and compliance standards. Facilitate seamless collaboration across multiple engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders in different geographies and time zones, to ensure alignment, efficiency, and adherence to delivery process. Design and implement measurements to track impact and define clear success metrics for programs, including delivery readiness and reporting progress consistently across different programs. Proactively identify and communicate risks to program plans and execution, escalating issues with urgency and driving them to resolution. Independently investigate potential remediation steps for identified risks and issues. Technical & Engineering Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of real-time communication protocols (SIP, WebRTC, SMPP), system architecture, cloud technologies, and software development lifecycles. Engage in technical discussions with engineers to understand impact of customer issues on planning and delivery. Demonstrate ability to break down complex technical planning into manageable components and define clear paths to resolution, enabling parallel work streams across global teams. Familiarity with encryption standards, data residency requirements, and secure coding practices for communication platforms. Communication & Global Stakeholder Management: Communicate program plans, status, issues, and risks clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, adapting communication styles for cultural nuances and time zone constraints. Produce and maintain clear, concise dashboards to communicate project status, progress, and key metrics to all stakeholders. Build strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners, including legal, privacy, and security officers, across different regions, and influence decision-making without direct authority. Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the program team, emphasizing the critical importance of compliant development, promoting a 'one team' mindset despite geographical distance. Proven ability to manage diverse communication channels (e.g., video conferencing, chat, email) to maintain consistent engagement and information flow across global teams. Drive consensus among diverse stakeholders with potentially conflicting priorities, while escalating critical issues appropriately. Resource & Process Management: Manage resource allocation plans across projects, ensuring optimal utilization and alignment with program priorities. Identify and drive improvements to software development processes at scale to increase efficiency and velocity, while integrating compliance checkpoints and automated testing for comprehensive coverage, ensuring processes are robust enough for global adoption. Champion best practices in program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban), adapted for regulated environments and optimized for asynchronous collaboration. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation required for regulatory audits and certifications, ensuring accessibility and understanding for all global contributors. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 10+ years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or systems engineering roles, preferably with a focus on delivering complex technical programs/products in regulated industries. Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects with significant technical complexity, especially related to voice, video or messaging platforms, involving teams distributed across multiple time zones (e.g., PST, EST, IST). Strong understanding of communication technologies (e.g., VoIP, SMS/MMS, chat APIs, real-time media streaming). Experience in defining requirements, scope, and managing project lifecycles in a fast-paced environment. Direct experience working with teams in India (Bengaluru) or other APAC regions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with large-scale systems, particularly in a secure and regulated context. Excellent communication, organizational, coordination, and multi-tasking skills, with a proven ability to bridge time zone gaps and foster effective remote collaboration.
