Job DescriptionSenior technical staff member with a commercial focus on assigned market segments or disciplines, who serves as the primary technical link between top clients, sales teams, and internal staff to develop new proposals and resolve service issues.Collaborates with business leaders and commercial staff across the Eurofins network to develop programs and pricing schemes that meet client needs.Develops new business by building and maintaining successful relationships with assigned clients and partnering with Business Development Directors and Business Leaders across the Eurofins network.Engages with industry trade groups (e.g. AOAC, USP, ICSB, AHPA, ABC) as a participant.Manage all aspects of quote, proposal and RFI development for assigned opportunities; adhering to agreed-upon business unit-specific and enterprise-wide proposal and pricing processesResponsible for managing business opportunities of medium to high complexity autonomouslyReviews proposal requests to ensure full understanding of client requirementsPartners with internal stakeholders to develop creative solutions for inquiries from assigned clientsEnsures timely delivery of assigned proposals to clientsResponsible for client-facing and senior management-facing activities surrounding assigned opportunitiesIdentifies and resolves issues around client inquiry requirements and Eurofins capabilitiesMaintains appropriate knowledge of technical and regulatory environments pertaining to roleResponsible for executing or facilitating internal and external opportunity management negotiations (i.e. pricing, process, resources, etc.)Anticipates, detects, promotes quality and process improvement needs in the maintenance and continued development of key client relationshipsPromotes internal expertise through training, participation, and guidance to less experienced staff on technical investigation and method alignment and improvement.Performs quality control activities on client deliverables for peers and less experienced staffCoordinates internal resources to resolve client service issuesContributes to writing articles, white papers, and internal and externally facing technical document.Manages Method validation projects and alignments when there is internal and external need.All other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. chemistry, microbiology)Postgraduate degree in a scientific discipline preferred6+ years of direct CRO/pharma or other business-related experience preferredProject managementExcellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tactDemonstrated computer skills – requires excellent MS Office experience (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook)Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and prioritizeDemonstrated teamwork, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skillsProven ability to work independentlyAbility to work to deadlinesStrong analytical problem solving skillsAbility to communicate appropriately and effectively with clients and Eurofins senior managementPossesses a general knowledge of and ability to work across Eurofins BU lines preferredAbility to learn new tasksAbility to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficientlyFlexibility to participate in meetings across various time zones outside core working hoursOccasionally working extended hours in order to adhere to client deliverable timelinesAdditional Information
