Decision Intelligence Team (DI) is dedicated to solving Operations' challenges using Generative AI, driving exceptional value through four key pillars: developing AI-powered solutions that enhance operational efficiency, maintaining Amazon's high bar for innovation, embedding long-term thinking into every initiative, and delivering measurable impact across Field Operations. This strategy positions DI as both an acceleration partner for worldwide operations and an innovator in automated IT support services, demonstrating significant impact through key capabilities including the development and deployment of GenAI-powered operational solutions, rapid prototyping and validation of AI solutions for WW Operations, and custom offline analyses generating insights for operational decisions.

In this role, the candidate would work closely with Operations Teams, product/program, data scientists and tech teams across Amazon. You will own programs that require strategic direction, diving deep, and cross-team communication to deliver results for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
• Own large-scale technical programs across
multiple engineering teams, from conception
through delivery
• Partner with engineering leaders, product
managers, and business stakeholders to define
strategy, shape the roadmap for DI Team
initiatives, and deliver end-to-end solutions
• Drive architectural decisions and technical
solutions that enable seamless content delivery
and discovery at global scale
• Define and drive the technical direction and
architecture for large, complex AI tools, ensuring
scalability, performance, and long-term
sustainability.
• Develop, and mentor high-performing engineers,
fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented
team culture that enables both individual and
team success.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the
product lifecycle, championing engineering best
practices and ensuring operational excellence for
large-scale production services.
• Continuously monitor and report on
development progress, quality, and system
performance, ensuring alignment with business
objectives and technical goals.
About the team
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in technical product or program management
- Experience working directly with engineering teams
- Experience in software development
- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
