As a Product Manager in Data Management, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our enterprise data modeling tooling capabilities. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Job responsibilitiesDevelops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customersManages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmapOwns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value propositionBuilds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliabilityLeads end-to-end product delivery processes including intake, dependency management, release management, product operationalization, delivery feasibility decision-making, and product performance reporting, while escalating opportunities to improve efficiencies and functional coordinationCarries out in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to support business cases for change and leadership decision makingLeads the completion of change management activities across functional partners and ensures adherence to the firm’s risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirementsCommunicates proposed solutions and insights effectively to stakeholdersPromotes adherence to industry standards for data ontology (e.g., RDF, OWL) and semantic modelingStays informed on industry trends and emerging technologies in data modeling, knowledge graph technologies, metadata management, and data architectureRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain areaAdvanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analyticsProven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value managementDemonstrated ability to execute operational management and change readiness activitiesStrong understanding of delivery and a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement processesStrong influencing and partnership/collaboration skills to drive cross-functional teams to build better solutions and to execute product go-live plansExperience in product or platform-wide release management, in addition to deployment processes and strategies; Must be able to build solutions from the ground upStrong technical background, with experience working on AWS, Big Data, Snowflake and SQL; experience with JIRA, Agile methodologiesFoundational understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, and physical modeling) Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsDemonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organizationPractical experience in modern data processing technologies, e.g., Kafka streaming, DBT, Spark, Airflow, etc.Experience in metadata management, data cataloging, and data governance frameworksKnowledge of data modeling patterns for analytical and operational use cases
