Plant Operations
Operations Management leads and integrates the efforts of a single team or multiple teams across all shifts responsible for all quality, safety, cost, reliability and quantity of the line or lines which make up the value stream. Responsible for sound people management, problem solving and project management skills. Is responsible for producing finished goods or sub-assemblies for finished goods. They can be a machine operator or a team leader who helps coordinate activities and effectiveness of a group of machine operators as they complete their shift schedules. 

Manufacturing Packaging
Accountable for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing packaging machinery/equipment including: •Operating manufacturing packaging equipment that packages materials or products by inserting them into containers or filling containers from spouts or chutes •Monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting manufacturing packaging equipment to maximize quality and efficiency •Restocking machines with packaging materials •May include packing, wrapping, securing, or labeling containers

Here at Mars we have an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking employment to come and join our factory team as a Packaging Operator

The Packaging Operator will be a multi-skilled packing associate who is responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our packing lines whilst ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are maintained. The packaging operator will also play a pivotal role in identifying and delivering continuous improvement projects within the packaging hall.

What are we looking for?

Minimum 5 GCSE Grade C or aboveExcellent Written and Spoken EnglishExperience in FMCG manufacturing environmentMechanical background desirable but not essential

What will be your key responsibilities?Maintain excellent packaging line efficiency in line with the set plan and escalate any deviation from standard or planSupport peers in achieving highest Safety, Quality and Efficiency standards throughout the packing hallBe responsible for the achievement of GMP/GHP packaging scoreEnsure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standardActively participate in Operational processes that support the improvement of our business performance
