Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager/System Administrator to administer and provide overall support and maintenance of applications, operating systems, and network connectivity. _This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity._

This role requires a professional who can evaluate system performance, establish and document procedures to ensure data integrity, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical understanding of Information Technology, Identity and Access Management, and AWS GovCloud systems.
**The Operations Manager will be responsible for** :
+ Administering and providing overall support and maintenance of applications, operating systems, and network connectivity for the O&M of an existing Identity and Access Management (IAM) Solution and then assisting in the development of a replacement system that will use AWS GovCloud.
+ The candidates will administer, design, implement, support, and maintain operations for an organization's Information technology, applications, network components, and VMware environment infrastructure
+ Evaluating system performance daily to ensure adequate response times for production applications
+ Establishing and documenting procedures to ensure data integrity including system fail-over and backup/recovery
+ Acquiring, configuring, and maintaining servers for development work, internal and customer testing, and production environments
+ Maintaining software updates, designing and implementing new system structures, and tracking and monitoring server usage and up-time
+ Planning, implementing, administering, and optimizing company servers and network infrastructures
+ Setting up and maintaining fault tolerances and monitoring and managing accounts
+ Setting up environment, equipment, public and/or private cloud systems based on workload type
+ Establishing and implementing standards for cloud operations according to specifications and parameters
+ Supporting multi-discipline environments across various platforms and capabilities
+ Potentially managing a team or enterprise team
+ Providing leadership, coordination, and customer contact for the maintenance and operation of large-scale highly available systems
**Education and Experience:**
+ Seven (7)+ years of experience in supporting Information Technology as an Operations Manager or System Administrator
+ AWS Solution Architect certification (mandatory)
+ Project management proficiency with knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL Foundation)
+ Experience managing agile development teams
**Required Skills and Competencies:**
+ Strong technical understanding of Information Technology, Identity and Access Management, and AWS GovCloud systems and services
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Non-Sensitive / High Risk (Public Trust) security clearance (Tier 4/6c)
+ Expert knowledge of recent technological advances in computer science and engineering
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior Government officials
+ Ability to interact and communicate with key managers and functional experts
+ Demonstrated experience in executing, monitoring, and managing projects to successful, high-quality and on-budget completion
**Desired Skills and Competencies:**
+ Experience with supervision of substantial Information Technology operations
+ Experience with user systems, integration, deployment, and training activities in diverse operating environments
