MAIN FUNCTION: Food and Beverage CD&D technical support for Microbiome Solutions and other functional ingredients in the Health and Wellness portfolio. Product Development and project management experience for the North American F&B market Segment. Be the technical representative on the Creation, Design and Leadership H&W team to support the strategy and business plans to meet growth targets.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:Product Development Skills – >4 years of experience in food and beverage product development and process know-how, knowledge on functional ingredients especially probiotics, prebiotics and postbiotics.Collaboration – The position requires excellence in project management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teams.Communication – The position requires well developed communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels and good presentation skillsMarket Experience – able to demonstrate knowledge and technical understanding of different food and beverage market segmentsTravel – 15-20% primarily domestic travelDESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:Member of the H&W team to help support strategic business, product, and account development plans to grow the businessIdentify and solve technical gaps in the use H&W portfolio ingredients commerciallyOversee the customer projects and provide technical expertise in development, scale-up and commercializationParticipate on NA H&W food and beverage projects as a technical expertSupport the integration of H&W portfolio in the Nutrition team and drive commercial differentiationProvide input into the development and optimization of processes and best practices in all areas related to ingredient application in different formatsDevelop prototypes with H&W ingredients and analyze the ingredient compatibilityWork on new format development and innovation projects proactively with extended CD&D teamsDevelop customer relationships and opportunities that yield sales growth in the H&W F&B categoryTrack customer project trials and results, and update data to key stake-holdersCollaborate with H&W sales teams to engage new opportunities for build the pipeline.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Science Degree or higher (chemistry /Food Science/ Food Technology/ Nutrition preferred) at a reputable educational establishmentAt least >4 years product development experience with ability to develop functional food and beverages (fermentations, probiotics, botanicals etc)..Good knowledge of food and beverage manufacturing processes and enumeration methods.Good team building and communication skillsHighly developed project management skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PPT, WORD etc.)Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
