What you'll be doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Compliance, Risk and Audit team under the Financial Crimes and Enterprise Risk Technology portfolio. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing each application and BAU releases, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders ensuring quality of releases and SLA's are met from a technical perspective. Technical Lead provides technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring the designed specifications achieve business needs. In addition, the role provides comprehensive technical consulting. The role makes technology selection decisions that are often made in situations where business requirements are not completely defined.

How you'll succeed
Relationship Management - Work directly with internal and external partners to ensure delivery processes are followed correctly and coordinate the releases from a technical perspective.
Implementation Lead - Manage project Implementations for operational initiatives. Create Production Implementation plans and conduct walkthroughs with the implementing team.
Leadership Skills - Act as the application tech lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet objectives. Support team members by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.
Design and Development - Perform and coordinate application activities. Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
Manage and Influence - Lead coordination efforts in operational activities to provide optimal end-to-end solutions for clients. Identify proactive solutions for recurring technology occurrences to benefit the business.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience in: Java, Javascript, Web Services, XML, SQL, API, JSON, Github, JIRA. Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS services. Experience in MetricStream will be a real advantage. Strong knowledge of Risk Management Systems. Good communication and presentation skills is an asset.
