As part of the Capital and Risk Models domain, you will be the Technical Lead for Risk responsible for driving the design and delivery of Risk Models and Reporting.

This role will drive the Risk product roadmap and the successfully delivery of its goal to improve the efficiency, flexibility, and traceability of the common reporting framework to internal and external stakeholders

The difference you’ll make:

Leading risk team across multiple locations, providing full management of the product lifecycle (design, development, Implementation, test & deployment) including post release 

Mentoring and developing individuals across multiple squads on design patterns, solution design, technical integration; using your experience and demonstrating your passion to define fit-for-purpose engineering designs/solutions.

Supporting change management, audit, compliance, and design assurance to meet the banks standards

Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs

Driving the quality and adherence to service levels for month end execution with an excellent focus on control, performance, and automation


What you’ll bring:

Excellent problem solving, communication and project management skills, with experience of supporting production related incidents until resolution

Excellent understanding of AWS services (EMR, EC2, S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM)

Practical experince with IaC, ideally Terraform

Knowledge of Unix scripting including AWS CLI

Adopting Agile engineering processes (Scrum/Kanban, DevOps, CI/CD, BDD/TDD test automation)

It would also be nice for you to have:

Knowledge in financial and risk services or information systems ideally combining regulatory and/or Risk models

Excellent ETL, Spark, and Analytical SQL knowledge

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python & Scala

Control-m scheduler knowledge

What else you need to know:

This is a 15 month fix term contract

This role is based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
