Job Title: Technical Lead – RRIPL

Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead to work within Rolls-Royce India Private Limited (RRIPL). They will be reporting to the Chief Project Engineer – RRIPL and will be accountable for ensuring the technical efficacy of the system- and sub-system level design solution.

This is a technical project management role that is expected to lead a team of engineering resources and to provide effective technical leadership and coaching to a diverse team in a challenging, self-directed and agile environment.

You will also be a primary point of contact for the Subsystems, driving cohesion between internal and external stakeholders to ensure robust and timely programme delivery.

The roles involve working with stakeholders to support the delivery of key programme milestones thus enabling the delivery of our Defence Combat strategy in India

What you will be doing:

Assist the Chief Engineer and Project Technical Management Team in ensuring divisional compliance with the group Product Safety and Health, Safety and Environment policies and processes.Robustly perform the required priority, tasking and engineering programme management within your team to ensure right-first time, on-time delivery in accordance with programme and divisional requirements and approved budgetProactively coach and guide the engineering team to ensure high quality technical solutionsBe a key internal/external customer technical interface, working with the Project Technical Management Team to ensure the team delivers a robust, high-quality solution to customer technical requirements.Ensure a strict adherence to the divisional security policy in your team per all applicable customer/partner/consortium requirements (inc. Export Control and Product Cyber)Work with the Chief Engineer and Project Technical Management Team to proactively identify the required engineering skills development and support divisional and group strategic workforce planning activities as required.

Who we’re looking for:

Bachelor's or master’s in mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. Other qualifications, in combination with relevant experience, may also be considered.Proven engineering and leadership experience of successfully delivering complex technical projects to time, cost, qualityExperience of collaboration with diverse teams from different culturesExperience of Systems Engineering, Robust Design and Technical Approval AuthorityExcellent communication and inter-personal skills, and will need to be able to contribute effectively in a team environment.
