Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Data Center Planning and Delivery

This role in Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) Mumbai builds infrastructure that hosts AWS cloud services. It delivers AWS cloud infrastructure in a challenging, high growth, fast paced and customer focused work environment. In this role, you will lead cross functional teams to deliver usable data center capacity. You will partner with senior stakeholders to develop, document, manage and deliver infrastructure designs, implementation schedules and budgets. You will earn trust of your partners in your ability to solve complex issues and steer teams in right direction to deliver results, on-time and at-cost. You must be an exceptionally strong communicator (both written and verbal), and possess relevant experience of experience in managing technical and strategic programs. You should have expertise to Build detailed, resource-loaded schedules (baseline) for data center construction phases. If you bring past experience in data center deployment programs, great. If not, then having a background in Construct project scheduling, program and project management, architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, software/hardware engineering with strong urge to learn will be essential. Key job responsibilities
The Infrastructure TPM owns delivery of new data center supply across one or more availability zones in India, managing 5+ concurrent projects simultaneously. This role serves as the critical bridge between internal customers, business functions (Planning, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Policy, Operations), and functional delivery teams (Construction, Commissioning, Controls, Fiber, and Network).
Creating and maintaining detailed, logic-driven construction schedules using tools like Primavera P6/ Microsoft Project for mission-critical data center projects, covering electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure phases. The TPM identifies and analyzes the critical path to proactively address risks, delays, and conflicts while monitoring real-time schedule updates and performance data.
The role requires participating feasibility analysis for expansion plans, evaluating owned/leased/collocated DC supply, utility delivery (power, water, fiber), and long lead equipment availability. Incorporate the risks in Project/Program schedule. The TIPM generates weekly/monthly reports on project status, highlighting impacts and forecasting completion dates while maintaining region-wide knowledge of in-flight projects and major risks.
Success requires managing multiple metrics, tools, and mechanisms to identify risks requiring action, decision, or mitigation. The TPM must communicate effectively up, down, and across the organization to align direction, gain support, and drive remediation efforts, ensuring DC delivery meets supply commitments and constantly changing customer demand on time and within budget.
