Role Objective:
The Technical Documentation Specialist (TDS) will produce all necessary documentation
relating to the GlobalView Global projects or solutions to make the change, update or
deployment easy to understand, and the product functionality clear for either internal users or
clients as required.
The TDS is responsible for creating, writing and revising various types of user documentation,
including how-to guides, talk tracks, help documentation, manuals, FAQs, and any other content
that requires technical information to be distilled with ease and clarity.
What you’ll do:
Work closely with the Project managers of the different projects and their project teams
in order to understand the documentation needs and functionalities that will be offered
with the new product/feature being deployed.
Explain functional concepts and technical ideas in simple language. Ensure technical
verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson.
Review, edit and proofread materials written by others as applicable.
Review end user documentation to assure it remains current. Provide updates and
different editions as necessary.
Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples. Prepare charts, graphs, or
forms to go along with rough drafts.
Write clear and concise policies and procedures.
Adjust copy as necessary and proofread for grammar and spelling.
Puntually, explain processes to clients.
What you need, to do the job:
2 – 3 years experience as a Technical writer or similar and experience within the client
service industry with resultant knowledge of organization behavior
Ability to use computers and documentation management related softwares: Word, Excel,
Power Point, Confluence, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced level of spoken and written English, at a native level (additional languages
advantageous).
Demonstrated ability to gather information and insights from individuals and groups
through the use of interviews.
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST
The ability to work under the pressure of time constraints, ambiguity and unexpected
changes.
Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, highly methodical working
habits and exquisite attention to detail.
Capable negotiator and mediator.
Reliable, engaging, team worker, proactive and able to easily convey concise messages to
the audience.
Comfortable working in an international environment.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work responsibilities, times and locations.
Payroll domain knowledge an advantage
Ability to present and explain the process/information documented to small or big
audiences an advantage.
Education
University degree or equivalent
