Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, this is a full-time, on-site position. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA), we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability. Product Area Technical Director staff. The candidate will support all aspects of technical product development, business capture, and technology maturation. Specific assignments will change over time as the needs of the business evolve. The successful candidate should be technically adept in one or more relevant areas: RF system design and/or electronic warfare. They should be flexible and agile with an ability to lead and guide technical teams. Experience in digital engineering is preferred.
The ideal candidate demonstrates proven execution of an engineering project through excellent risk assessment, outstanding leadership, and strong decision making with solid analytical skills. The Product Area TD supports the Product Area Director and is a key member of the technical leadership team.
**Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**
+ Preparing technical roadmaps that identify technology maturation paths and align with customer future capability requirements
+ Providing input for and driving internal research and development efforts to mature key technologies
+ Providing input to and preparing artifacts for new business capture efforts
+ Recommending efforts that support customer-focused engagements, e.g., supporting operational analysis, digital systems engineering modeling, etc.
+ Providing input and technical insight to ensure success of complex system solutions.
+ Providing technical oversight of program or group of programs within the portfolio.
+ Provides technical support to portfolio strategy and growth.
+ Supports proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost estimating and presentation activities.
+ Preparing and delivering technical presentations.
+ Will have outside contact with customers, other contractors and government officials.
+ Performs systems engineering functions such as developing and managing systems level requirements, developing operational systems concepts, performing system architecture trade studies, originating design concepts or performing systems level integration and testing highly complex systems.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Requires qualified candidates to hold an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
+ Bachelor s degree and Minimum 12 years of technical leadership experience and capabilities relevant to the business
+ Ability to form a vision and implement action plans to achieve that vision
+ Proven ability to share and transfer technology across organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and business
+ Leadership skills and experience directing and mentoring engineers on complex programs
+ Expertise in System Architectures
+ Expertise in effectively documenting, communicating, leading and working with a team on designs, results, reports, and presentations.
+ Experience developing viable concept solutions, identifying and tracking technical risks, and leading technical teams
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Active United States security clearance, Top Secret, SCI Eligible
+ Experience with technical performance measurements and cost account management
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
