What is the Opportunity?

We’re looking for a Technical Director to join our Civil Infrastructure team and lead the delivery of complex, high-impact construction projects.

 

What You’ll Do Here:

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive project plans for major civil infrastructure initiatives, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle—from concept through commissioning—ensuring technical excellence and compliance with client and regulatory standards. Monitor project financials, track expenditures, and conduct variance analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety. Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and budget risks, while reporting progress and key risks to executive stakeholders. Establish and manage frameworks and standards for technical and design processes throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all designs are compliant, constructible, and optimized for cost efficiency and safety. Lead the Design Management team to deliver timely, compliant, and cost-effective designs. Oversee design activities to ensure alignment with construction execution and technical specifications. Collaborate with construction and management teams on subcontractor selection and procurement of materials and services. Supervise construction activities, including testing, commissioning, and handover, ensuring all deliverables meet contractual and operational requirements. Lead the transition from construction to operations, including systems integration, staff training, and operational readiness.

 

What You Bring to the Team:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. 15+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering and project management, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects. Proven success as a Design Manager or Technical Lead on major civil construction initiatives. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering and design teams. Deep understanding of project delivery across all phases—from planning and design to execution and commissioning. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. Skilled in stakeholder engagement and driving project outcomes aligned with organizational goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to promoting inclusion, equity, and a culture of belonging. Fluency in Spanish is required.

Licenciatura en Ingeniería Civil, Gestión de la Construcción o una disciplina relacionada. 15+ años de experiencia progresiva en ingeniería civil y gestión de proyectos, con un enfoque en proyectos de infraestructura a gran escala. Éxito comprobado como gerente de diseño o líder técnico en importantes iniciativas de construcción civil. Capacidad demostrada para liderar equipos multidisciplinarios de ingeniería y diseño. Comprensión profunda de la entrega del proyecto en todas las fases, desde la planificación y el diseño hasta la ejecución y la puesta en marcha. Fuertes capacidades de liderazgo y creación de equipos. Hábil en la participación de las partes interesadas y en la conducción de resultados de proyectos alineados con los objetivos de la organización. Excelentes habilidades de comunicación e interpersonales. Compromiso con la promoción de la inclusión, la equidad y la cultura de pertenencia. Se requiere fluidez en español
