Technical Director

 

Crestron is seeking a dynamic Technical Director in our New England territory. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with customer-facing skills to drive the adoption and success of Crestron's cutting-edge product and technologies. Note: MUST LIVE IN CRESTRON NEW ENGLAND TERRITORY. 

 As an individual contributor reporting to the Director of Technical Sales, you'll spearhead our technical field engagement strategy. Your comprehensive knowledge of Crestron's offerings will position you as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through the entire technology lifecycle- from initial purchasing decisions to final implementation. 

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Regional Sales and Account Managers, providing crucial technical sales support to influence sales, streamline deployments, and boost technology adoption. Your ability to design, implement, measure, and manage complex AV & UC solutions will be key to our success. The territory includes: MA, RI, CT, NH, ME, VT, and Upstate NY.

Most importantly, you'll serve as the voice of the customer within Crestron. Your mission is to ensure that every clients’  technology needs are not just met, but exceeded, fostering long-term partnerships and driving innovation in the AV & UC space.

Position Overview

Individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Technical Sales Remote work arrangement   *Prefer candidates living in Massachusetts, Connecticut or Rhode Island. 60% travel required

 Key Responsibilities

 Serve as the dedicated technical resource for Crestron products and technologies  Provide technical guidance during the sales process to internal and external stakeholders  Uncover business development opportunities through client, partner, and dealer interactions  Represent Crestron at major trade shows and events 

 Qualifications 

4+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or consulting roles Exceptional communication and presentation skills Strong technical solution selling experience Proven track record of exceeding goals and expectations Ability to engage effectively with senior executives In-depth knowledge of meetings and collaboration technologies Experience with business analytics and data modeling Proficiency in large-scale networking Excellent project management and organizational skills

 Education and Certifications 

Bachelor's degree (preferred)  AvixaCTS, CTS-D, and/or CTS-I (preferred)  Relevant UC technology certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, Zoom) a plus  Crestron and other industry certifications a plus 

 Note: Candidates must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. 

Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($122,500 - $175,000) which consists of base salary (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates. Also note, an individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
