Job Description

We are looking for you to support our Business Area Original Equipment Solutions (OESL) as Technical Customer Lead for Volvo Trucks. In this role, you serve as the central technical interface, primary technical point of contact, and escalation level for all application engineering matters concerning the customer Volvo Trucks.

Your role will include the following tasks:

Coordination of application engineering activities within segments or cross segments for the customer Volvo TrucksSet up and maintain close relationship to technical departments of Volvo Trucks and their key playersProvide technical support and consultation to assigned customers Volvo Trucks regarding all OESL solutionsMonitor technical customer strategy and relevant market/technology developments and proactively feed information and customer requirements to R&D and Application EngineeringActively contribute in creation and execution of customer strategy with technical customer roadmap, white spot analysis, etc.Be the expert for customer specific requirements and negotiate technical customer specificationsDevelop design concepts, proposals and solutions and present them to the customerLeadership of technical aspects during acquisition and quotation phaseEvaluate feasibility of customer requests as part of a cross functional teamSupport Quality teams in customer related quality complaint analyses and resolutionsSupport Operations teams on-demand by participation in cost reduction projectsAct as project manager for assigned projects

QualificationsAcademic degree in engineering, natural sciences or comparable fieldsLongterm experience in the automotive industry, especially in engineering or development area with proven costumer or supplier interactionProfound project management and project leadership experience multi-national project teamsAdvanced understanding of automotive product life cycleExcellent communication, presentation and negotiation skillsBusiness fluent English language skills (written and spoken)Basic German language skills are beneficialSwedish language skills are an advantageVery good analytical skills, autonomy, good interpersonal skills and diplomacy
