**Introduction**
Technical content is an essential part of IBM’s customer, product, and user experiences. In this role you will reinforce resilience, encourage innovation, and fuel future growth by delivering world-class content for established and emerging mainframe and hybrid cloud products. To deliver outstanding outcomes, you will collaborate with internal and external partners across time zones as part of a global content and design team. To thrive, you will have strong communication skills, a passion for user-centered design, and a desire to create great enterprise software solutions.
**Your role and responsibilities**
Working closely with designers, developers, product managers, and others, you will use IBM Enterprise Design Thinking practices, IBM’s Carbon Design System, and related guidance to synthesize and produce a variety of content artifacts. You will be involved in all aspects of content creation, management, and operations—from research, writing, and editorial iteration to production, evaluation, and revision. Deliverables may take many forms, such as customer-facing product documentation, API or UI text, or internal AI-consumable content. Additionally, your output may be used to support automation, agentic AI, machine translation, modernization workflows, and more.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
• Connect with subject matter experts to quickly learn, understand, and articulate key information.
• Describe complex technical subjects in an appealing, usable manner for multiple audiences.
• Consistently deliver accurate, concise content at a high level of quality and precision.
• Use analytics, feedback, research, and other evidence to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively as part of a global team.
• Be ready to learn, adapt, innovate, and grow.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
• Content and design development for enterprise software products.
• Knowledge of software project methodologies, such as Agile and DevOps.
• Familiarity with IBM’s Enterprise Design Thinking and Carbon Design System.
• Experience with DITA, HTML5, Markdown, XML, or similar markup languages.
• Use of GitHub or similar shared source code and content management tools.
• Use of code or content creation tools, such as IDEs, video editors, or AI assistants.
