Technical Assistance Provider
Description Technical Assistance Provider Overview: The Technical Assistance Provider supports nonprofit partners, community groups, and other project sponsors by helping them build the capacity to develop and manage affordable rental housing. This role emphasizes mentorship, education, and hands-on support throughout the development process—from initial planning to project completion. Key Responsibilities: + Conduct organizational assessments to evaluate readiness and capacity for housing development. + Develop tailored technical assistance plans to guide project sponsors through the development process. + Assist sponsors with site selection, feasibility studies, environmental review, and team coordination. + Support the preparation and submission of funding applications for acquisition, construction, and operations. + Educate and coach partners on development best practices, financial modeling, and compliance. + Track and report on sponsor progress and outcomes; maintain strong relationships with sponsors and funders. Ideal Background: + 3+ years of experience in affordable housing, community development, or nonprofit consulting. + Strong understanding of housing development financing tools and public funding sources. + Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively and teach complex concepts clearly. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in affordable housing, community development, or nonprofit consulting. • Proficient in housing development financing tools and public funding sources. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to teach complex concepts effectively. • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Demonstrated ability to manage timelines and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently. • Experience in customer service, with a focus on building collaborative relationships. • Ability to organize files, perform data entry, and manage administrative tasks. • Knowledge of shipping and scanning functions to support project needs.
