Technical Architect - Erlanger, KY
This is a full-time, exempt position.

The Technical Architect for Applications will combine expertise in technology design and development across modern application, integration, data, and security architectures.  This position requires experience in using front-end and back-end development technologies and frameworks.  The Technical Architect for Applications support defining architecture standards, developing solution architectures, and governing architecture submissions.

This is an Architect-level position within ADM’s Enterprise Architecture team, supporting ADM’s Cloud Center of Excellence.  It requires communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with detail-level IT engineers, developers, and architects.

Job ResponsibilitiesLead the technical design of application solutions, including cloud native solutionsTake accountability for solution requirement definitions, conceptual, and high- and low-level design artifact generationSupport ADM’s emerging Cloud CoELead reviews of solutions to audit against design requirementsResearch, experiment, and prototype new cloud application services. Help maintain and develop technical standardsManage adherence to defined architecture standards throughout the Application development lifecycleProvide oversight and coaching to developers as part of the Architecture Services OrganizationProvide subject matter expertise to design, develop, and implement technical  architecture in alignment with Enterprise Architecture’s direction and standardsMaintain knowledge of industry trends and utilize this knowledge to educate both IT and the business on opportunities to build better target architectures that support and drive business decisionsSupport IT Enterprise governance functions (RFI’s, vendor risk assessments, etc…)Job Requirements7+ years of IT experience5+ Years of building solutions using modern application design patterns including serverless applications, containerized applications, SOA applications, web service applications, and RESTful patterned applications5+ years of IT technical design experience overall (either exclusively or across applications, data, cloud infrastructure, networks, or security)5+ Years of Application development experience using Microsoft development platforms5+ Years of solution technical design involving Microsoft Azure, including both high-level solution design, and detailed technical designAbility to generate conceptual and high level architecture design artifactsExperience conducting design and architecture reviewsUnderstanding of network architectureUnderstanding of security architecture and identity managementExperience using modern integration architecturesExperience developing cloud solutions using Azure services such as App Service, Azure Functions, API Management, Application Gateway, Logic Apps, Container Apps, and Azure Service BusPreferred: Azure Solution Architect CertificationExperience in software development using languages such as C#, Java, or PythonExperience with Containerization using Docker and orchestration platformsExperience with Source Code Management tools such as Git, GitHub, SVN, GitlabExperience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, Cosmos DB, or similar experienceStrong interpersonal collaboration skills and ability to work across technology domainsStrong verbal skills and ability to communicate both upward and downStrong technical design skillsExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
