Tech Writer II - EAOS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
- Demonstrate technical research and fix technical issues in computer/operational systems, network, applications, etc. 
- Apply acquired technical skills and knowledge of applicable policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. 
- Escalate more complex technical issues to more experienced technicians.  
- Participate in special projects as required. 

• Review prepared documents, diagrams and random content to edit and post organizational information according to established standards• Recommend content format modifications where content deviates from standard protocols• Support document version control guidelines and assist in the maintenance of the library of technical documents • Take direction from the Senior Technical Writers and Senior Quality Assurance Specialists to modify document layouts and publication schedules and methods • Support the deployment of technical and operational document specifications and resolve identified problems with the senior Documentation Team staff and Senior Quality Assurance Specialists as needed • Review draft of manuscripts and make recommendations for changes where known errors exist• Edit and correct final drafts • Post documents to SharePoint • Recommend graphics, such as drawings, diagrams, pictures, and charts, to be used in technical documents when appropriate• Generate revisions, corrections, and changes as directed by senior staff on previously-published materials; when assigned, review the need for the modification of new material with the senior Technical Writing staff • Participate in cross-training as directed by senior staff and management to become acquainted with project processes Minimum Requirements  
- High School diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience. 
- May have additional training or education in area of specialization. • Bachelor’s degree in English or Communications from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience in conjunction with a High School Diploma or GED, required • At least two (2) years of experience with the Adobe documentation products required• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in technical writing in association to Call Center, Information Technology and/or Government contracts preferred • Ability to document technical programs, plans, designs, operations and procedures• Strong organizational and self-management skills • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar• Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing• Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand • Ability to appropriately handle business-sensitive and confidential information • Ability to prioritize assigned work and solve problems• Ability to work with tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks • Strong interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and professional demeanor • Excellent oral and written communication skills• Effective team player with highly-proficient customer service skills • Advanced-level user in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SharePoint Flexibility and ability to work in a dynamic, team oriented environment• Ability to maintain a security clearance as needed

Home Office Requirements: - Internet speed of 20mbps or higher required / 50 Mpbs for shared internet connectivity (you can test this by going to [1] www.speedtest.net) - Minimum 5mpbs upload speed - Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router - Private work area and adequate power source - Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US
