As a Tech Risk & Controls Director at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity Technology and Controls, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the firm's technology risk management strategy. Leveraging your advanced knowledge and expertise in technology-risk disciplines, you will identify, oversee, and mitigate compliance and operational risks in line with the firm's standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Product Owners, Business Control Managers, and regulators, to develop and maintain a comprehensive view of the technology risk posture and its impact on the business. Your ability to make calculated decisions, manage large teams, and drive strategic projects will be crucial in ensuring the firm's adherence to regulatory obligations and industry best practices. Job responsibilities
Develop and implement technology risk management strategies, policies, and processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and drive strategic projects and initiatives to enhance the firm's technology risk management capabilities, in line with industry best practices and the firm's standards and regulatory requirementsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including key cross-functional team leads, regulators, and auditors, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standardsProvide thought leadership and oversee the development, implementation, and management of technology Standards and Control Objectives, ensuring robust risk controls across the organization.Participate in oversight activities related to the 2nd Line of Defense, internal and external audits, and regulatory reviews. Lead governance forums and act as a subject matter expert in cyber controls.Serve as a trusted advisor on technology risk, providing guidance and expertise to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification in security concepts, with 7+ years of hands-on experience in technology risk management, information security, or a related field.Strong background in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation within large, complex organizations.In-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to the financial services sector.Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, manage cross-functional projects, and influence executive-level decision-making. Skilled at translating complex technology concepts into actionable business strategies for senior stakeholders.Advanced experience in data security, risk assessment and reporting, control evaluation and design, and governance, with a proven track record of implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
