GENERAL OVERVIEW
Perform basic, routine general maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance and inspections on buildings and equipment. Assist other
maintenance personnel with repairs, equipment installations and facility modification/renovation tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform various basic facility maintenance tasks as assigned. Examples: floor repairs, ceiling tile replacement/installation, erect office partitions, install/repair door hardware, bumper guard installations, wall repairs/patching and painting.Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks as assigned. Examples: wheelchair and litter cart PM and repairs, repair food service carts, assemble desks, lockers, computer workstations and storage cabinets, etc.Assist maintenance technicians and mechanics as assigned in general and "craft specific" (electrical, plumbing, etc.) repairs and equipment installations.Provide emergency support services to include (but not limited to) snow removal, utility disruption assistance, disaster manpower pool, fire response, hazardous chemical spills, etc.Record usage of parts, supplies and materials on appropriate forms. Completes all documentation as required on department work orders as tasks are performed. Prepares all necessary forms, records, reports and other documentation in support of JRMC policies, Maintenance Dept. procedures and regulatory agency compliance. Utilize the maintenance computers to document work order information. Interacts with other departments and trades, vendors, contractors, etc. to coordinate work and exchange information. Attend meetings/serve on committees as appropriate to represent Maintenance Dept. interests, to improve quality via Quality Action Teams. (QAT, CQI, etc.)QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
High school diploma or equivalent required.Two (2) years minimum in-house maintenance/construction experience or a minimum four (4) years combined industrial, commercial or institutional maintenance/construction experience required.Knowledge and skills to perform basic, general electro-mechanical maintenance tasks and general construction/building renovation tasks including painting is required.Preferred
Trade/technical school training is preferred.Language (Other than English):
