Position: Tech Product Development Lead – Payments

Level: Manager

 

Description:

We are seeking a Tech Product Development Lead to design, architect, and develop robust applications for payment systems and core processing solutions. You will ensure compliance with industry standards while translating user needs into technical features that enhance customer experience. Key responsibilities include developing payment processing capabilities, conducting quality assurance, and collaborating with Product Management to clarify requirements. Proficiency in Java, modern front-end technologies (e.g., React), and cloud deployments is essential.

 

Experience Level:

BE/BTech with 10+ years of relevant experience of which at least 3 years in Payments. Expertise in software development and payments architecture, with experience in payment application cycles. Manage the end-to-end delivery of digital projects, including multi location, multi geography delivery teams. Lead the design, development, and deployment of web applications, ensuring high performance and scalability. Strong programming skills and experience with NoSQL databases and distributed messaging systems (e.g., Redis, Kafka). Manage and mentor a technical team, promoting best practices and a culture of innovation. Understand how engineering decisions impact product outcomes and overall business goals.

 

Domain Requirement:

Deep knowledge of payments and digital banking, including large-scale modernization programs. Innovative thinker with experience in implementing payment solutions across multiple platforms using integration patterns (API, ESB, Batch File). Familiarity with payments messaging standards (NACHA, ISO 8583, ISO 20022, SWIFT) and regulatory frameworks (SEPA, BASEL, PSD2, PCI DSS). Understanding of payments architecture design, integration patterns, and core processing solutions. Familiarity with payment ecosystems and cross-border payments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions. Build and manage motivated delivery teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Ability to understand the broader product vision, focusing on solving user problems and delivering business value. Lead assessments, architecture engagements, and engineering projects. Plan, budget, and oversee end-to-end delivery. Collaborate with architects and engineering leads to identify risks and dependencies. Establish performance management guidelines and KPIs for successful delivery.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of IT experience, with 5 years in Payments. Proven leadership in multi-year, multi-team transformation projects. Strong understanding of product development processes and software architecture.

 

Soft Skills:

Leadership and mentoring capabilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a product driven mindset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
