CVS Health has an exciting opportunity in Mount Prospect, IL for a Pharmacy Technician to be a part of our Mail Order Pharmacy team! A Pharmacy Technician is essential to ensuring patients receive their medications in a timely manner.
As part of the team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your Pharmacy Technician skills and experience to work in a closed-door pharmacy setting. You will make a difference by excelling in a complex, high impact dispensing role positively impacting the lives of others. You will collaborate with a team of talented individuals in a concerted team effort under the direct supervision of Team Leads and Pharmacy Supervisors.
The ideal candidate will possess high elevated levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, team orientation, and critical thinking skills.
**POSIITON SUMMARY:**
As a pharmacy technician working in the pharmacy, you will be responsible for many aspects of the mail order prescription process. You may be asked to work in any or all of the following areas; manually fill or pack both refrigerated and ambient temperature medicines, fill medicines for automated machines or pack orders using automated packing machinery and support the shipping handler department such as; manually metering packages and placement of packages to be sorted for shipment.
The pay for this role is **$18.16 (plus shift differentials of $1.25/hr. for 2nd shift for a total rate of $19.41/hr.)** with opportunities to advance. This is a full-time position with no direct customer interaction, guaranteed 40 hours per week, and premium pay for consistent weekends or company holidays worked. We offer:

**WORK SCHEDULE:** This is an onsite 2nd shift position. The schedule is 4 ten-hour shifts:
+ **SUN: 2:00PM - 12:25AM (REQUIRED)**
+ **WED & THU 3** **:00PM - 1:25AM**
+ **FRI: 3:00PM - 1:25AM (REQUIRED)**

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Have a current Illinois Pharmacy Technician License or be willing to apply for a Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
+ Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to reach/twist/turn/bend/stoop/walk and lift up to 40 pounds.
+ Detail focused and task orientated.
+ Ability to read and understand English.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Regular and predictable attendance.
+ Work mandatory overtimewhen needed based on business needs.
+ Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam successfully passed by December 31st of your 2nd Illinois Pharmacy Technician License renewal.
+ Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Formal Pharmacy Technician training
+ Pharmacy Technician experience
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician prior to 2024
**EDUCATION:**
+ Verifiable High School Diploma(or equivalent) is required.

**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 - $31.30
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
