Technician in Charge / Lead Technician
Transdev in Columbus, OH via Columbus RAC isseekinga highly skilled and experienced Technician to join our team. The Technician willbe responsible forsupervising and coordinating the activities of our technician team, ensuring thetimelyand efficient diagnosis, maintenance, and repair vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

+ EV Mechanic experience a plus - will provide ongoing training.
+ Class B CDL - we will train!

Key Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate and prioritize the workload of the technician team, assigning tasks and ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner.
+ Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques toidentifyand troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
+ Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to support maintenance and repair activities while minimizing waste and excess inventory.
+ Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
+ Coach andmonitormembers of the work team.
+ Other duties asrequired.
Qualifications:
+ Minimumof 5yearsof experience as a technician, withdemonstratedproficiencyin diagnosing andrepairing diesel engines and relatedsystems.
+ Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, whilemaintaininga high levelof attention to detail and accuracy.
Subject toDOTdrug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
+ Physical Requirements:
+ The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
+ Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, workalone,and in remote locations.
+ Push and pull objects up to75pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or withoutassistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
+ Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
