The Technician 2, Maintenance is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of process related systems/equipment. Ensure these systems meet the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Also responsible for conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance on process related equipment to ensure equipment is operating efficiently with minimal downtime.

What You’ll Do

Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on process equipment, such as bioreactors, centrifuges, ultrafiltration skids, parts washers, autoclaves, isolators, and fillersProvides recommendations to develop preventative maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtimeContributes to Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) development and revisions for process maintenance related activitiesDiagnoses and troubleshoots equipment malfunctionsAssists in the installation and commissioning of new equipmentMaintains accurate maintenance records and documentationFollows SOPs to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) quality standardsAdheres to all safety requirements and follows safe work practicesNotifies management or Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are foundAttends all required safety and health trainingSupports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as neededPerforms spare parts assessments, as requiredOther duties, as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systemsKnowledge of GMP requirementsEffective communication, both written and oralAbility to work in a team environmentKnowledge of lean manufacturing principlesStrong problem-solving and time management skillsAbility to train and mentor othersDetail-oriented

Required Skills

High School Diploma/GED4 years of maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing settingExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Preferred Skills

Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field5+ years of maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing environmentCertified Maintenance & Reliability Professional, Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician, or certification in another relevant field
