At the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering discipline, we develop and design cutting‑edge hardware for applications such as search radars, fire control, and combat management equipment for customers in both naval and ground domains. Our solutions meet rigorous operational standards to ensure the highest quality and performance.
The department includes mechanical, electrical, and procured‑parts engineering teams, as well as an Environmental Competence Center. Our designs are utilized across the internal supply chain, by subcontractors, and directly by customers. Team Manager CMS Hardware Engineering
About the job:
This job complies of two segments within our department; The F126 program and our combat management systems (CMS). The CMS is the central command and decision‑making element of a naval vessel combat system, supporting sensor management, picture compilation, situation assessment, action support, and weapon control. This equipment is engineered and validated within the CMS‑Hardware segment.
Your responsibilities:
Manage a multidisciplinary team of approximately 30 mechanical and electrical architects and engineers.
Build and maintain a delivery‑focused culture, including skills development, resource planning, and continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.
Ensure competence management to maintain competitiveness and match resources to segment needs (workload, processes, practices, tools, and skills).
Ensure discipline processes are controlled and stable across all lifecycle phases of bids and projects.
Define and drive the technical innovation roadmap for your discipline, promoting adoption of state‑of‑the‑art technologies.
Proactively allocate resources to staff development and sustainment projects, ensuring project timelines and deliverables are met.
Guide the team through the annual HR cycle, including performance evaluations, professional development, and career planning.
Interface and cooperate with other engineering departments within the Thales Group.
Why you'd be a good match
Bachelor’s or master degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
Proven people manager with several years of engineering management experience.

Experience with cabinet or control panel design is a plus.
