Job Title: Team Manager, Product Management

Description: In this role you will lead the country's most successful maths team of high-performing product professionals, responsible for the most used maths qualifications and teaching and learning resources in the UK that are also used extensively around the world. Maths provision and manage a high-performing team of subject specialists. The role aligns to industry-level titles such as Head of Maths / Team Manager – Maths. 

This is a pivotal leadership role, combining strategic oversight of Maths qualifications and teaching and learning products with day-to-day line management, coaching and development of staff. You will play a central role in shaping the direction of Maths at Pearson and in UK schools and colleges.

Job Summary: Lead the vision, strategy, and continuous improvement of Maths provision for UK schools and colleges. Drive the development of best-in-class Maths products that engage learners and meet regulatory requirements. Use data-driven insights to elevate product quality, learner outcomes, and overall experience, making a real impact on education across the UK.Key Responsibilities:Lead the vision and strategic direction for Maths products, ensuring alignment with educational frameworks and regulatory standards.Drive continuous improvement by analysing performance data and learner feedback to inform product enhancements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging, high-quality Maths solutions for schools and colleges.Guide and develop a team of product managers and specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.Ensure Maths products remain competitive and relevant by monitoring industry trends and stakeholder needs.Required Skills and Competencies:Strong strategic thinking and commercial outlook.Effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration.Proven ability to drive product development and continuous improvement, ideally in the schools and colleges sector.Deep knowledge of the qualifications and publishing sectors for schools.Qualifications (Education & Experience):Significant experience in product management, ideally within education or assessment.Demonstrated success leading teams and delivering complex products.Deep understanding of UK educational frameworks and regulatory requirements.Experience using data to inform product strategy and improvements.
