Key Responsibilities – São Paulo, Brazil
As part of our Tax team based in São Paulo, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance and supporting strategic tax initiatives across Brazil and other jurisdictions. Your responsibilities may include:
Deep knowledge of Brazilian tax laws and international tax treaties.Hands-on experience in Brazilian tax compliance for both indirect and direct taxes.Ability to prepare tax calculations for review by external advisors (e.g., EY and Deloitte).Solid understanding of tax accounting, including deferred tax calculations (Annual and Half-Year) under IFRS and BRGAAP.Experience with accounting reconciliations for tax GL accounts using SAP and Blackline.Familiarity with audit processes conducted by Brazilian tax authorities, in coordination with external advisory firms.Strong command of key Brazilian taxes: IRPJ, CSLL, ISS, PIS, COFINS, and ICMS.Ability to review and coordinate SPED obligations, municipal requirements (withholding tax), IBGE, and BACEN reporting.Understanding of Transfer Pricing report processes, with support from external specialists.Capacity to review and advise on internal tax-related queries from other departments regarding the treatment of specific operations and business activities.Qualifications & Experience
We’re looking for a seasoned tax professional with:
A background in Accounting or Tax, with at least 6 years of experience in Brazilian tax (local and international), including tax accounting under IFRS and BRGAAP.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Experience with SAP, HFM, and SPED systems.Advanced English; Spanish is a plus.Knowledge of Brazilian tax laws and tax treaties.Brazilian tax compliance (indirect and direct taxes).Prepare tax calculations to be reviewed by external advisors (EY and Deloitte).Tax accounting knowledge (deferred taxes).
