OperationalThrough hands-on management, closely supervises all Security Guards in the performance of their duties in accordance with Hotel Policies and Procedures and applicable laws.Ensures that Security Guards remain at their assigned posts at all times.Ensures that patrols are carried out in all public areas, restaurants, guest floors, offices, plant rooms, and all other areas of the hotel to maintain the safety, security, and comfort of all guests and hotel personnel.Ensures that all Security personnel remain vigilant for any suspicious individuals loitering on the premises or any suspicious items.Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or malfunctioning safety equipment.Assists the Assistant Security Manager/Assistant Managers – Security during their tours of duty.Ensures the smooth implementation of all operational procedures within the department and in coordination with other departments.Conducts inquiries and investigations into all security- and fire-related incidents and submits initial reports.Conducts roll calls and daily briefings for Security Guards regarding the hotel’s activities and functions of the day at least 15 minutes before the commencement of each shift.Assists in organizing and coordinating the Security Fire Fighting Team during emergencies.Ensures that all fire exits are free from obstruction at all times.Assists management and emergency response authorities during emergency situations.Assists in the investigation of accidents and security incidents involving hotel guests and employees.Politely questions any suspicious individual; refuses entry if the individual is unable to provide a reasonable explanation and immediately requests assistance when necessary.Assists in conducting employee bag checks and periodic locker inspections, ensuring they are carried out in accordance with the hotel’s Policies and Procedures.Monitors and controls the movement of all employees entering and leaving the hotel through the employee entrance.AdministrationChecks, maintains, and accounts for all inventories within the Security Office.Records all security-related occurrences and incidents in the logbook for the information of Security personnel and management.PeopleAssists in overseeing the punctuality and appearance of all Security Guards, ensuring they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene in accordance with the hotel’s and department’s grooming standards.Monitors and motivates the performance of Security Guards.Supports the implementation of the People Philosophy by demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.Ensures that employees have a complete understanding of, and comply with, all employee rules and regulations.Ensures that employees adhere to all hotel, company, and local policies, rules, and regulations relating to fire safety, hazard prevention, and security.Supports the implementation of relevant changes and action plans arising from the Employee Opinion Survey.Other DutiesIs conversant with the operation and maintenance of the hotel’s radio communication systems.Maintains knowledge of all relevant statutory legislation and regulatory requirements.Understands and strictly adheres to the Rules and Regulations outlined in the Employee Handbook, as well as the hotel’s policies concerning fire safety, hygiene, health, and safety.Maintains high standards of personal presentation and grooming.Responds proactively to changes in Security operations as required by the industry, company, and hotel.Demonstrates responsible behavior at all times and positively represents the hotel and Hyatt International.Attends training sessions and meetings as required.Performs any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;}
