Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader for our Software Engineering department in Guadalajara, Mexico. As a Team Leader SW Engineering, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation, managing project deliverables, and mentoring a talented team of software engineers.

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvementCollaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocationOversee the full software development lifecycle, from design to deploymentImplement and maintain best practices in software engineering, including code reviews and quality assurance processesDrive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance team productivity and product qualityManage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomesFacilitate effective communication between team members and across departmentsConduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team membersStay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edgeImplement team competency roadmap with mentorship and support to enhance skills and achieve goals. Team Development: activities like team-building and training to create a positive work environment. Recognition and Feedback: acknowledge efforts, provide regular feedback, and recognize achievements. Communication: hold meetings, share lessons learned, and manage partner relations. Promote Bosch values and activities that reflect integrity, innovation, quality, and customer focus.Manage project deliverables and KPIs, ensuring quality and coordinating with stakeholders. Develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing ones. Improve technical skills within the team and organization. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of successful project deliveries2+ years of team leadership or management experience in a software development environmentStrong programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, or PythonProficiency in software development methodologies, particularly Agile and ScrumExperience with version control systems, preferably GitSolid understanding of software architecture and design patternsFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or AzureExcellent problem-solving and debugging skillsStrong analytical and decision-making abilitiesOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to motivate and inspire team members to achieve high-performance standardsExperience with project management tools and techniquesExperience with Agile MethodologiesRelevant certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master are a plusFluency in English; Spanish language skills are highly desirable for this role in GuadalajaraProficient Stakeholder Management skills
