Designated Emergency Center of Excellence recognizing our facility as a high-performing emergency department + Located about 10 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and near TCU in the award-winning school district, Burleson ISD which also provides a low-cost of living. **The role you'll contribute:** The Team Leader adheres to and follows the goals, philosophy, standards and guidelines of Texas Health Huguley. The Team Leader is a specialized health care professional who reports to the Director and provides leadership to the unit assigned by supervising the coordination the care and services for the patients on the unit for their assigned shift. The Team Leader will lead their staff on the delivery of safe patient care, quality strategies, throughput initiatives, patient satisfaction and employee satisfaction. In collaboration with their Director, the Team Leader will conduct performance evaluations of their assigned staff, participate in peer interviews of potential new hires for their team, and will make suggestions to their Director of any staff recognitions and/or disciplinary actions. This position demonstrates leadership through conflict resolution and service recovery with patients, families, physicians, and staff and proactively removes barriers to effectively implement Texas Health Huguley's strategic plan to achieve our vision. The Team Leader maintains clinical competency and is required to provide direct patient care. **The value you'll bring to the team:** Assesses, develops, implements and evaluates a comprehensive plan of care through a multidisciplinary care team process in conjunction with the patient/family in internal and external settings. Comprehensively assesses patients' goals as well as their biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and discharge planning needs and financial status. Procures services and advocates on behalf of the patient/family for scarce resources. Works collaboratively with staff members involved in care of case managed population. Seeks peer consultation regarding cases that present problems/significant variances. Acts as a liaison to post-hospital care providers and community health resources. Manages each patient transition through the system and transfers accountability to the appropriate person/agency upon discharge. Recognizes and identifies life threatening situations, responding with immediate action according to protocol with no unjustified documented variances. Demonstrates the skill and judgment necessary to implement physician orders, nursing interventions and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient to provide quality care. Accurately administers medications, IV fluids and IV medication, blood and blood products according to physician's orders and nursing policy and procedure with no more than three (3) occurrences per year. Demonstrates ability and appropriate technical skills when administering treatments and procedures in accordance with physicians orders and nursing policy and procedure with no more than three (3) documented occurrences per year. Coordinates collaborative multidisciplinary care team meetings. Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of patient care. Other duties as assigned **The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:** **Minimum qualifications** : RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of Texas or in a qualifying compact state.
