About the Role

Join Unity Lab Services as a Team Leader at customer site and guide a team of 10–15 on‑site service specialists to deliver world‑class laboratory support. You’ll partner closely with customers and internal partners to streamline processes, exceed contractual goals, and drive continuous improvement—all while making a real impact on research, quality, and safety.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise the full employee lifecycle: recruit, train, mentor, evaluate, and develop site-based personnel.Ensure seamless delivery of services including order entry, stockroom management, shipping/receiving, chemical tracking, glasswash, media prep, and cell-culture support.Serve as the primary liaison with customer contacts; translate needs into standard operating procedures, corrective actions, and best-practice initiatives.Define and monitor key performance indicators; analyze trends and share metrics and improvement plans during customer business reviews.Lead process-improvement teams to identify efficiencies, resolve issues, and expand service offerings.Conduct site audits and annual physical inventories; maintain accurate reporting and reconciliation.Write and update standard operating procedures to support regional objectives and compliance.Address customer concerns promptly, propose solutions, and act swiftly to maintain high happiness levels.QualificationsHigh school diploma. Certificate in business, Operations, Inventory Management, or a related field is a plus2-4 years of experience in a laboratory or managed services environment, with supervisory or project-lead exposure.APICS certification and hands-on lab service experience preferred.Proven leadership skills, including mentorship, team building, and conflict resolution.Strong analytical approach with comfort in handling data, critical metrics, and root-cause analysis.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities; experience in writing SOPs is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a willingness to learn new systems.Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentWork in office, stockroom, lab, and dock environments; extensive walking and stock handling.Must lift, push, and pull 30-40 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).May operate pallet jacks, carts, and handheld scanners.Will wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as the need arises (lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, bump hat, etc.).May encounter chemical allergens (e.g., penicillin, tetracycline).BenefitsCompetitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing professional development.Encouraging, people-first culture with a strong work-life balance.Opportunities to lead high-impact process improvements and expand services!Join a passionate organization that values innovation and collaboration.Our Mission
