Job Overview:
Reporting to the assigned Revenue Integrity Director, this position is responsible for but not limited to, supervising, directing, and monitoring operational functions associated with daily operations of the charge capture teams. These functions will include supervising the billing and follow-up activities of third-party payers in a high-volume multi-specialty organization. The supervisor will assist the manager in leading, developing, and mentoring staff. In addition, this role will supervise staff using the department s operational policies and guidelines and monitoring workflows.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must have general understanding of ICD10 Coding, HCPCS/ CPT Coding, revenue codes, charge capture, revenue cycle processes.Knowledge of medical and billing terminology.Preferred:
Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.Scheduling Requirements:

As part of ongoing efforts to improve charge and revenue capture, we need a Team Lead to join our highly skilled and dedicated charge capture team that focuses on charge capture, work queue oversight, and error resolution for our registration area.
As part of the Revenue Integrity Charge Capture team this individual will be an integral member of the team responsible for reviewing accounts and patient medical charts for missing Registration and patient demographic information, following up with appropriate personnel and stakeholders to identify and correct errors, and post charges.
The Team Lead will be responsible for collaborating, department managers and other hospital staff to ensure accurate charge capture operations are in place to include daily charge capture, revenue reconciliation and error correction processes. Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff organizing and monitoring work processes.Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.Prepares and reviews clean claims for submission to various insurances either electronically or by paper.Ability to identify denial trends to maximize cashflow.Assists Manager with the entire revenue cycle process including accounts receivables, denials management, and insurance follow up.Monitor collections staff efficiency through audit processes.Ensure employee attendance to all required training sessions and in-services.Work collaboratively with other departments, including operations and managed care, to improve reimbursement process and results.Review daily, weekly, and monthly key metrics to identify trends or areas of focus: work with Manager to develop, document and implement action plans, as appropriate, to address issues and ensure claims are submitted and paid in a timely manner.Establish and communicate impactful team goals; build and enact plans to achieve success.Supervise, train, mentor, motivate, orient, and evaluate performance of teammates.Maintain confidentiality of all patients, teammate, and company information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and policiesOther Duties:
