Job DescriptionTo manage and oversee WesBank’s insurance administration processes for vehicle and asset finance. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate placement of insurance cover, timely schedule updates, reconciliations, and compliance with internal policies. It plays a critical part in supporting risk mitigation and asset protection strategies, while leading a team to deliver efficient, customer-focused insurance operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in vehicle finance insurance products and a proven ability to manage complex insurance processes
Job Description
Oversee the placement and administration of insurance cover for financed vehicles and assets across both Commercial and Retail segments. Ensure accurate daily updates and reconciliation of insurance schedules (e.g., Embedded Credit Life, Retrenchment, Credit Shortfall, Asset Cover).Monitor customer-owned policies and reconcile new business submissions.Manage insurance renewals, refunds, and policy amendments.Oversee daily and monthly insurance reloads and loan restructures.Liaise with insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely schedule submissions and deductions.Maintain accurate and up-to-date system records (e.g., LMS) to ensure data integrity.Respond promptly and effectively to insurance and administrative queries.Ensure monthly dealership insurance payouts for renewals are processed accurately and on time.Competencies Required:
Excellent customer service ethic.Strong product knowledge in vehicle finance and insurance.High attention to detail and accuracy.Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.Insurance administration and reconciliation expertise.Proficiency in banking systems (e.g., LMS).Strong numeracy and analytical skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Computer literacy (MS Office Suite).Problem-solving and decision-making abilityQualifications and Experience
