Key Responsibilities
As a Delivery Team Lead in Trading IT, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, empowering your team, and ensuring seamless technology support for our energy trading operations. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead and mentor a team of 3–5 talented professionals, overseeing time reports, absences, holidays, and overall team well-beingEnsure your team is strategically staffed with the right mix of internal and contract resources, aligned with Trading IT guidelinesFoster a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages growth, accountability, and innovationPlanning, Prioritization & Reporting
Own your team’s activity planning and backlog management, prioritizing tasks based on business and IT inputsDeliver clear, management-level reporting on backlog progress, support tickets, and team performanceContribute to cross-functional projects and collaborate with other delivery teams across Gas & Power Trading ITOperational Excellence & Support
Ensure effective support and incident resolution for systems within your scope, meeting agreed service levels and maintaining system availabilityManage third-party suppliers within your perimeter, ensuring contract compliance and performanceCoordinate configuration and change requests in response to business needs, ensuring smooth implementationGovernance, Compliance & Standards
Enforce IT governance and standards, including project approvals, technology compliance, testing, and QAEnsure all development and support activities meet legal, regulatory, and audit requirements (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley)Stay ahead of market and technology trends, bringing fresh insights to improve systems and processes Candidate ProfileWhat We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who brings a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a desire to grow into a leadership role. Here’s what will set you up for success:
Education & Language Skills
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Fluent in English; French proficiency is a strong advantage
Experience & Background
• 5+ years of experience in a power utility or energy trading environment, with solid knowledge of energy markets
• Proven track record in roles such as Project Manager, Business Analyst, Developer, or Application Engineer
• A strong interest in stepping into management and leading cross-functional initiatives
Technical & Market Expertise
• Familiarity with short-term and asset-backed power trading, including:
• Scheduling and nominations processes
• Trading systems and platforms
• Automated and algorithmic trading strategies
Certifications & Methodologies
• Training or certifications in any of the following are a plus:
• IT Service Management (e.g., ITIL)
• Project Management (e.g., PMI, Prince2)
• Agile methodologies
• Cloud and database technologies
