Amazon South Africa (ZA) Marketplace Team is looking for a dynamic, analytical and creative Marketplace Team Lead to drive and lead the team growing Sellers. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for helping online Sellers expand and grow their businesses by partnering with Amazon. The Team Lead will be responsible for delivering business growth and maximizing revenue generation across various product families. Operating in a fast-moving and often ambiguous environment, the successful candidate will have full responsibility for team performance and of achieving business and financial objectives. As part of the role, the Team Lead will need to analyze sales and traffic data to identify opportunities to help existing sellers succeed in the marketplace and provide competitive knowledge towards the generation of leads to recruit new sellers. The Team Lead will work with a wide range of internal stakeholders both within and outside the country to support the consolidation of existing and development of new services. The successful candidate will need to take the lead on strategic projects that will drive business growth and shape the future of Amazon Merchant Services. Key job responsibilities Execute the strategy for Seller growth in ZA. Manage and develop a team to deliver on financial goals in the Marketplace business. Achieve business and financial objectives and lead the growth of Amazon’s third-party business. Analyze Seller and program performance trends, diagnose root cause of performance and create actionable plans for operational improvements Use data to provide insights to business leaders and is able to effectively represent the function in various forums (WBRs/MBRs/QBRs etc.) Lead a team of Account Managers to meet Seller recruitment goals (revenue/program adoption etc.) Identify and manage projects to improve customer and seller experience, working closely with internal and external teams. Lead recruiting and hiring efforts across direct team and broader organization Implement account management best practices and SOPs into the business development framework A day in the life Your day will be a dynamic blend of executing strategies for own portfolio of Managed Sellers, drive a high performing team with strategy and monitoring execution. You'll collaborate with leaders across teams, make data-driven decisions to grow Seller revenues and create exceptional marketplace experiences. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software - Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders - Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data - 3+ years of team leadership experience Preferred Qualifications - Experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and working cross-functionally - Experience working in e-commerce / retail / supply chain / financial services business Amazon is an equal opportunities employer, and we value your passion to discover, invent, simplify and build.
