Coordinates and prioritizes activities to drive results of the team.
Assist team/facility manager with work assignments, scheduling assets and obtaining overtime coverage.
Provides objective performance feedback to team/facility manager for incorporation into Performance Review and development.
Actively participates in Performance Review meetings for the team in partnership with the team/facility manager.
Mentors team members to success in new or challenging situations and improves unacceptable performance in a constructive and positive manner.
Assists with communication of department goals and priorities.
Coaches and shares best practices with all team members to drive results across the organization.
Serve as a mentor to new employees and ensure they are receiving required training.
Leads collaboration with other functional areas to help resolve issues and improve manufacturing processes.
Ensure communications from management gets to operators.
Actively engages in and facilitates the Tier 1 process.
Proactively communicates with the Plant Leadership Team regarding employee and operational challenges/concerns.
Works collaboratively with the Plant Leadership Team to resolve challenges/concerns.
QualificationsMinimum education of High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Have general knowledge and able to work with computers and programs (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Mail, Lotus Notes, MARS, Oracle, MES Lot Utility, Telnet, ).
Willingness to act as an additional manufacturing resource by taking a hands-on approach to day-to-day production activities.
Must regard safety as a core value; must serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures.
Must be able to actively contribute in a team based environment, encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal.
Must have a strong service and quality focus, be able to address issues effectively when problems arise, and take initiative to understand root cause then communicate/educate team in a timely manner.
Must have demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus.
Must have a strong detail orientation and be able to follow written and oral instruction.
Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Requirements
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing in a similar production environment.
Track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Management and Time Management skills.
Track record of implementing Lean manufacturing processes.
