The Opportunity:

As a part of our Maintenance Department, we are currently looking for a Shop & Toyota Maintenance Team Lead. The are responsible for leading multiple maintenance related projects as well as some key administrative reports, such as coordinating service and maintaining maintenance records of the Challenger fleet of trailers at Toyota yards. This role is also responsible for organizing execution of the required work and communicating with business unit leaders on accurate repair timelines to ensure their needs and business results are being met.
Key Accountabilities:
Toyota MaintenanceMonitor the preventative maintenance redistribution effortCoordinate implementation projectsMonitor Challenger out of service equipment at Toyota yards and arrange service as requiredProvide service work to Challenger mobile technicians in Woodstock and Cambridge, including assigning daily repairs, Preventative Maintenance and DOT maintenanceCoordinate units to be serviced by outside vendors when requiredTrack all annuals needed on equipment in Toyota fleet and ensure equipment is set out of service and inspections are scheduledCoordinate PDI inspections and special installations on trailersProcess information related to any equipment in the Toyota pool damaged to receive reimbursementReview invoices for accuracy including referencing the work ordersComplete work orders for mobile technicians including reviewing, closing and approving them
Reporting and AnalysisComplete daily HKPI report packages for all Challenger shops including a breakdown report, a yard check report, the shift summaries, and HKPI by division, to be distributed to appropriate senior leadersComplete weekly reports for Maintenance Manager on outside vendor spend and reefer / heater spend reportsComplete weekly reports for the Director of Maintenance including HKPI, overtime, and incident reportsComplete additional ad hoc / daily / weekly / monthly reporting as required
Cambridge MaintenanceLead key maintenance projectsAssist with monitoring the service desk including:Answering phonesAssist walk-in driversDistribute keysAdjust status of trucks and trailersCoordinate drive-upsCreate work ordersAdd technician and driver write-ups to the maintenance sheetDuring Maintenance Supervisor’s absence:Coordinate trucks / trailers to come in and out of the shop for serviceAssist technicians with questionsCover administrative duties for the service deskCoordinate work for mobile techniciansCreate work orders and purchase orders for outside vendorsClose and approve shop work orders, including checking the parts and labour billed for accuracyAudit invoices as requiredPerforms other duties as required
 
What You Need To Be Successful In This Role:
 Secondary School Diploma required2-3 years of related reporting, administrative and/or project management work experience in maintenance environmentIntermediate MS Office skills, especially in Excel Strong analytical, decision-making and project management skillsDetail and deadline oriented, with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment to meet competing deadlinesAbility to creatively and effectively make improvements, resolve issues and problemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staffStrong attention to detailIntermediate Microsoft Office (including excel), computer and telephone skillsPossess a fact-finding mindsetSelf-assured and confidentPossess conflict resolutions skillsWork well independently
