About The Role:
Based at Barangaroo, as Infrastructure Team Lead, you will be accountable for:
Lead and manage the infrastructure team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and alignment with business objectives.
Allocate resources efficiently and ensure the team is equipped to handle infrastructure needs and challenges.
Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute the organization's infrastructure strategy, ensuring it supports long-term business goals.
Lead infrastructure planning and capacity management, identifying future technology and resource needs.
Plan, manage, and deliver infrastructure projects, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and collaboration with other departments, such as IT support, DevOps, and software development
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, networking devices, and cloud environments.
Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of systems through proactive monitoring and performance tuning.
Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating to vendors or senior engineers when necessary.
Manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal configuration, security, and scalability.
Oversee virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Openshift) and ensure seamless integration with on-premises systems.
Implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to streamline operations.
Ensure that all infrastructure components comply with security standards and industry regulations (e.g., ISO, SOC, GDPR).
Implement security best practices, including access controls, encryption, firewalls, and incident response procedures.
Lead efforts to conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation strategies.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of infrastructure failures, and ensure regular testing
About You
As an experienced leader, you will be comfortable leading teams in a high performance culture and navigating ambiguity. You will bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience
7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, administration, or related roles, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management position.
Proven experience in leading infrastructure teams and managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects.
Extensive hands-on experience with server and network infrastructure, cloud environments , virtualization, and storage systems.
Strong technical knowledge of core infrastructure technologies, including networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), virtualization (VMware, OpenShift), and cloud platforms.
Expertise in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and optimizing performance.
Leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing team members.
Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Ideally, certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or RedHat Certified for OpenShift Administrator or any equivalent Server Administrator certifications
