Team Lead- Field Application Engineer **POSITION SUMMARY:** The Team Lead- Field Application Engineer is the key contact between customers and project team in South East Asia region. He/she is responsible for providing customers with technical support in the field necessary to properly apply and operate AE products. The FAE will develop solutions to problems that range from simple product/application issue to complex muli-interaction scenarios involving AE products and customer’s tools/processes. As a result of the FAE’s extensive and constant engagement with customers and distributors, he/she is also responsible for increasing the number and depth of AE’s relationships with customers for gathering, understanding and reporting intelligence from the field concerning industry, customer/competitive trends and developments. The FAE will provide product recommendation and product trainings to customers and distributors. He/she will need to work closely with Sales team, responsible for identifying and delivering on design win opportunities, coordinate the work and results with customers including educating, consulting and product testing activities with Global Technical Support and global FAE team. **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** 1. **Generate new business and Design Win** 2. Work with key customer contacts and AE account managers/directors, product managers and engineers to identify and understand new opportunities, and successfully promote, apply, release and support AE products/services in a manner consistent with business objectives. 3. **Defend current business with Revenue Secure and Growth** 4. Work with key customer contacts and AE account managers/directors, product managers, engineers, customer support staff and quality staff to proactively support existing business (design wins and Revenue AOP) in a manner consistent with business and Sales objectives. 5. **Build critical relationships** 6. Demonstrate constant focus on and investment in building strong relationships with key contacts within customer accounts and with AE teams, that are based upon mutual trust and a respect for the mutual value that is produced; always strive to build and defend a productive and rewarding team-environment. 7. **Liaise technically** 8. Based upon the day-to-day engagement with AE’s customers, products and applications, act as proactive technical liaison with customers and become their trust advisor. 9. **Gather information and driving for Market Expansion activities** 10. Search for, gather, understand and communicate to appropriate personnel information relative to customer, industry, application and competitor trends, developments and roadmaps which has potentially substantive value to AE's ability reach corporate objectives. 11. **Provide training, problem solving and trouble-shooting** 12. Provide technical product and application training to customers, distribuors and internal colleagues as needed to demonstrate/promote/optimize the use of AE products. 13. Provide troubleshooting services, problem solving on sites as required. 14. **Quality Support** 15. Support customer and distributor’s quality issue and RMA process. On-site support to identify the issue, rework and firmware updates as required. Communicate with quality and factory team for quaility support meeting. 16. **Global Technical Support and events** 17. Collaborating and assist other FAEs and Technical Support Engineers in Asia and Globally on common customer programs/issues and Solution Selling sharing. Support Power Workshop and other Marketing events as required. **WORK ENVIRONMENT:** + Provide technical Support in laboratory, factory and clean room environments at customers and AE working office with typical diagnotic equipment, computer technology and customer tools. + Provide on-site support for local, national and international travel. **SKILLS:** + Position requires strength in the following skill sets: technical and non-technical + Verbal and written communication skills + Technical knowledge/trouble-shooting, negotiation/persuasiveness tactics, planning and organization, stress tolerance, relationship and team-building. + Laboratory diagnostic equipment, commercial practices (e.g.-specifications, Non-Disclosure Agreements, IP-protection, business ethics, compliance rules, etc.). **EXPERIENCE:** **Essential:** + 7+ years in related role. Working knowledge of Power Electronics industry. Material science and Power processing equipment, Industrial and Medical applications + General: Computer driven diagnostic equipment, Visual Basic for test simulation; Microsoft Excel creating macros for qualification criteria. **Power Products:** + Hands-on technical trouble-shooting and root cause analysis; operation of sampling and real time oscilloscopes, waveform generators, spectrum and etwork analyzers, power supplies, RF and DC fixturing for power supply characterization. + Experience in Power Electronics design or application support, with knowledge of mechanical and electronic assembly processes. **Desirable:** + 10+ years in related role. Specific knowledge of, and experience with key customers, their equipment and applications. Product trouble-shooting to board level. Experience with industry "standards" and "user" groups. Competitive product experience. + Strong communication and presentation skills.
