Job Description

Position Summary

Leads a team of employees and communicates company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team. Motivates team members and assesses performance. Provides help to management, including training, and keeps management updated on team performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in delegating goals and expectations to line leaders for product productionVerify machine and equipment set up as necessary – resolve differencesRead, act on, and/or respond to production documents through computer access or other communication form, electronic or manualoversee 10-35 or more team members and is in constant communication with supervisorDocument and follow-up with performance issuesLog and document information on various department forms as required by leadershipReceive and verify parts for assembly process according to order, resolve issuesAssemble on the assembly line as neededConsult and work with other team members and leaders to problem solveAttend all daily production meetingsTrain new employees as necessaryMaintain a clean and safe work environmentOther duties and responsibilities as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

Supervise 10-35 assembly employees

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk/stand for long periods of timeLift and move a minimum of 15 pounds without assistanceWorking with small parts, manually foot and hand operated machines, computer keyboard and screenRepetitive hand/arm use

Work Environment

Majority of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to highPPE required as determined by company safety standards:  safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoesExposure to oil and Loctite

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious assembly experience in department requiredExpert knowledge of assembly process and ability to assemble all valvesAbility to lead a team of departmental co-workersIntermediate reading and writing skills in EnglishIntermediate math skills or ability to use a calculatorKnowledge of departmental machines and tools and their functioning capacityAbility to read, communicate, and explain required documents for production process and other company communications in EnglishAbility to identify production problems and seek help from next level of leadershipAbility to train new employees on production process successfully, T.W.I. training requiredBasic computer skills and use of company production programs/email/intranet as required

Salary and Benefits

The hourly range is between $20.00- $25/hour. The range is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
