What this job involves:

Responsible for handling a team size of 10-12 membersReview and approve various types of account payable transactions, due diligence, and release of funds from bank within agreed turnaround timeEnsure prioritisation & urgent payment requests are attended to promptlyEnsure team's adherence to turnaround time and accuracy of activities undertaken including any transition in / Out or ad-hoc projectsEffective management of internal & external stake holder while nurturing a good relationshipAbility to positively influence and get tasks completed from not just the team members but the site teams as wellWork as an escalation point for team to highlight challenges, assistance required, etc. to help meet process KPI’sEnsure 100% compliance to RICS & ISAE guidelines. No exceptions allowedWork with other Team Leaders in the project to create a culture of collaborationProactively raise issues with Process Manager regarding client / team issues as they ariseUndertake monthly and annual performance reviews, conduct interviews as required and leave managementContinuously strive to upskill team from an industry, domain and 'soft skills' perspectiveDrive process improvement initiatives to closure including improvement ideas for accuracy, exceptions, cycle time and lead timeMaintain individual and team production logs as directed by the Manager/ Assistant ManagerRegulate process controls effectively and proactively while continuously assessing the need of control improvementCommunicate effectively and work closely with Site Directors to influence change in processes impacting AP functioningCoach and mentor team members to ensure all round development of individualsSmooth month end reporting and MI preparationsKeep the Management fully informed of all potential risks, issues, challenges and KPI missesImprove and drive a strong MI system to map all KPIs and critical AP metrics e.g., paid on time, PO compliance, AP cycle time, exception rates etc. to enable best in industry benchmark scores

Accounting graduate/M. Com/MBA with excellent verbal and written communication skills5 – 8 Years of experience in Account PayablesKnowledge of entire Source to Pay cycle and best in industry practicesExperience of real estate environment and accounting would be an added advantageUnderstands UK banking platforms and accounting codes used in APCandidate should be dynamic and versed with Lean and Operational excellence practicesAbility to multi-task, work effectively under pressure, prioritise, and manage workload for team while meeting client needsEngage and communicate clearly, confidently and in a concise manner with internal and external stakeholders and see things from their perspective with solution-oriented approachUnderstand training needs. Ability to conduct trainings across a varied set of teamsAble to drive productivity of assigned team membersDemonstrate consistency in values, principles, and work ethics, must be able to inspire and lead a teamWillingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignmentsUnderstanding of and commitment to client services, maintain confidentiality of client dataA desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environmentExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work overtime when requiredAbility to conduct difficult conversations and demonstrate transparency and fairness

Ensure the agreed KPI’s (Productivity, Quality and Turn Around Time) are metAchieve high employee satisfaction scoresEnsure attrition rates are below industry figuresMonitor exceptions processes and devise plan to reduce exception rateMinimise risk and provide improvement ideas to SupervisorZero RICS / ISAE audit findings during internal and external auditsEnsure management reporting as per the pre agreed timelines
